We Registered to vote today!!!! Plus news about my back:)

Finally me and Rob registered to vote, on the very last day, yup, that's us, procrastinators!! *LOL* So now I'm on the fence, Rob know's who he is voting for, however I am still on the fence. This is why I am closely watching the debates. I have only voted 1 time in my life and it was to keep Bush OUT!! Apparently my vote didn't work!! I never cared until I had children, now I care. Any opinions out there??

So it's tuesday the 7th of October, for those of you who don't know, I have been trying to figure out and solve a horrible back pain I have been having upwards of a year. It's very frustrating to me because it took 8 years for dr's to come to a conclusion as to why I was having dizzy spells (vertigo) which I am still having by the way. So I am going to a wonderful Dr., his name is Todd Cevene, he owns a care clinic that deals mainly with pain management. He is putting so much time and thought into finding out where this pain is coming from, he is actually writing off my copayments thru insurance because I have to see him 3 to 4 times per week and he is concerned. God love him, so I go to physical therapy 3 times per week, I do workouts and stretches to try and manipulate my spine, I have nerve pulse therapy 3 times a week which is basically stickers and wires stuck all over my back that vibrate and pulse for about a half hour. Then I am attached to what the girls there call "The Torture Table", this lovely device is velcrowed around my waist and hips with a strap running between my legs hooked to a spindle of sorts, this device pulls my spine straight one inch at a time for about 20 minutes, NOT FUN!!!! I am literally in tears by the end of this one. Then I go over to the other side of the room for a massage, I know what your thinking, how lovely, a massage, NO! This is a DEEP tissue massage on my lower back and the back of my thighs, YOUCH!!

Well this morning, which was not one of my therapy days, I went to the office to see the neurologist who only comes on tuesdays to do nerve testing, if you haven't had this done before and someone says they would like you to have it done, run the other way!! I was laying on a table in a gown for an hour which in itself hurts my back enough, then this little phillipino Dr. , Dr. Parks, lovely little old man, hurt the hell outta me!! He basically gave me charley horses with some wires taped to my legs and took ultrasounds to measure the length of my nerves, did the same to my back, then proceeded to stick needle in my muscles and take ultrasounds of them to make sure my muscles and nerves are working properly, which he gave me an A+ but sent me home with about 8 charley horses and 20 new holes in my legs and back. This was my day....

On a happy note, I lost 6 more pounds!!!! YIPPY!!!!

Nothing really to note about the girls, Jocelyn is in the middle of reading "The Hobbitt", I went to parent conferances yesterday and she's a perfect student, and Delia still refuses to use the potty, I will keep you all posted.

The Jess Crew

P.s..... there's a very small possibility we will be adding another furball to our clan, I inquired about a 1 year old female purebread Alaskan Malimute this morning, she's beautiful!!!! Of course this is the dog of Rob's dreams.... keep your fingers crossed:)

Cold October Monday!!

Well folks I finally took the time to start our own blog. I LOVE reading my brother and Sis-in-law's so I figure maybe I'll make one about our family. Where do I start?? Let's Start with the "makers" shall we. I am Jenn Jess, super mom!! I am a dishwasher, laundry doer, boo boo kisser, homework helping, diaper changing (workin' on that), 3 meal a day and snacks makin', chauffeur and of course wife. I am currently not working, taking some time off to spend with my kids, I'll work later. My hubby, Rob Jess, he's a hard working man for Chrysler. He works in the IT Department on oversee's many computer projects. I call him a professional meeter. He's in meetings all day, since he is the Team Leader he doesn't actually do the work, he just has to make sure everyone else does.

Then there's Jocelyn, our almost 9 year old Diva #1. She's 8 going on 16 of course. She LOVES reading, drawing and playing on the computer, my little Rob. Jocelyn is a tad advanced for her age, every year her teacher wants to bump her up a grade which we will absolutely NOT do, socially she's just like everyone else in her grade. In February she will be testing to get into a school for "smart" kids. She calls it the smart school. It's actually an academic program at another school for children that normal schools don't have the resources for. She's in 3rd grade and currently reading the hobbitt, that's a junior high school book, again, she totally get's this from her father. She's the 2nd smartest kid in IL her age, by computer testing's standpoint. But don't get me wrong, she's no perfect smart child, she LOVES jewelry, Hannah Montana, The Jonas Brothers, her mp3 player and her video game system. She also likes to back sass and push her parents to the edge sometimes, but all we can do is love her and say NO!! *L*

Diva #2 would be little Miss Delia. What can I say about Delia, she just turned 3. She spends her days jumping on the furniture, jumping on her toys, running through the halls, going up and down the stairs, chasing the cat and dog, dropping her food on the floor, and getting dirty. She takes after me, the rebel of the family I guess. She's a VERY sweet little girl, when she wants to be. She refuses to use the toilet at this point so were working hard on that and it get's a little frustrating at times, she's a very different child that Jocelyn, I always say she's the little boy I always wanted. She's a challenge for sure!! Everyone warns you about the terrible 2's, but I think they are just prepping you for the 3 year old your about to have because believe me, I'd rather have 2 year old Delia back.

Now Diva #3 is our 5 year old Beagle Molly. Molly is my baby, she loves her mama. I believe she is my Maggie Mae reincarnated, she's such a sweet lazy dostle little thing, granted her feet smell like cornchips and she's always in my spot, she's a good baby:) She's sleeping on the couch as I type this, she's a sleeper! **L**

Now Diva #4 is our newest addition but not new to us anymore. She's our 1 year old Blue Lyn (I have no ecks on this computer and there is supposed to be one on the end of that. Her mother is a traditional Siamese and her father look's just like her. I looked high and low for this breed for over a year and finally we got her from a farm of all places. She is a TOTAL diva!! She only eats certain foods, her hard food only get's one bite taken out of it and she will NOT eat the rest, she get's lifted up to her food bowl and when she wants love you better give it to her, NOW!! But she's beautiful so I fall for it every time.

Our family relocated to Loves Park, IL 2 & 1/2 years ago for alot of reasons, I miss home, my neices and nephews mostly, but I get to see them at least once a year, hopefully that will change soon. But we LOVE it here. We live in a beautiful house that we rent from awesome people, a HUGE backyard, the girl's have their own rooms and it's a dead end so no worries about traffic.

Grandpa Jess and Nana Fran live about 45 minutes away so we get there and they get here as often as possible. Nana Fran just bought a horse we haven't seen yet, she's a horse and rider trainer so Dottie, that's her name, is for training only. Jocelyn took horse lessons for a while then became uninterested. Maybe Delia will be our reining cowgirl, who know's. Grandpa Jess paints during the week for a living, and when I say paint, he's paint's HUGE houses, he's a handy man which is great because he came over the weekend and helped us put up the ceiling in the basement and it's awesome, thank Dad Jess!! On the weekends he usually has a gig, he's a one man band and AWESOME at what he does. He's not a wedding singer, he plays for upper scale social events, very awesome man in my eyes. Thanks for being there Nana Fran and Dad Jess.

I have lot's of family in MI, my sissy Mandy and her wonderful chillins Lauren and Trey, My bro and Sis-in-law Chris and their kids Jake and AL, miss you all VERY much!! See you in February! There's also my bestest bestest friend in the whole entire world, Freginald. Her name is actually Regina, she also has 2 kids, Michael and Leona whom I love dearly and consider my neice and nephew. Regina is my rock, whenever I'm down, which unfortunately has been alot lately, she's always there even though she isn't here. Regina I love you with all my heart! MUAH!!!!

Well I think that's it for now, I must go tend to my little one's since they are slowly waking up.

Tata for now and lot's more to come:)
